There's fabric care & zipper care, both are equally important! 

Fabric care: 

Cold machine wash & line dry preferably. If you really need to machine dry, make sure it’s on a low heat/long cycle mode.

We recommend washing your Hey Duvet bedding separately to other items (eg don’t wash with jeans, shirts etc) as well as separating colours. 

Zipper care:

Please make sure that your duvet cover is fully zipped and closed placing it into the washing machine.

When opening or closing the zipper (especially around the corners) go slow, be gentle, and always use two hands; one to hold down the zipper track near the zipper, and the other to carefully pull the zipper along.

When your bed  is made up, please make sure the two metal zipper pulls are located at the bottom of the bed.

We covered this in "Care Instructions" but it's so important, we're adding it twice!

Dispatch: We'll aim to dispatch your items in 1-4 business days.

Regular Post: Free. Generally takes up to 5 business days (excluding dispatch time), but can be longer if you live regionally. 

Express Post: Flat-rate of $10. Generally takes 1-2 business days (excluding dispatch time).

Local Pickup (occasionally unavailable): You will receive an email as soon as your order is ready to be picked up. Orders can be picked up anytime weekdays between 9:00am and 5:00pm from our co-warehouse space located at 15 Cochranes Rd, Moorabbin VIC 3189. Orders take 1-4 business days to be prepared. 

Note: Depending on the size of your order, sometimes we'll send it in two packages. 

New Zealand Shipping: We offer flat-rate shipping to NZ at a rate of $15 per order for Standard Post or $30 for Express. 

International Shipping: Not offered at this time. 

We currently only ship internationally to New Zealand as their bedding sizes are the same as Australia. Other countries unfortunately have different sizes and that makes things tricky. One day we hope to cater to all markets, but for now we are only available in AU and NZ.

Absolutely! Our products are generally under the "Consumables Budget" of your NDIS plan. Just reach out or have your Plan Manager reach out to us at info@heyduvet.com.au and we'll whip up an invoice :) 

Our products are made from 400 thread count 100% long staple-cotton (think Egyptian cotton) in a sateen weave (the kind of fabric weave that gives you the perfect amount of shine). We think that this specific combination strikes the perfect balance between soft and crisp. 

If those terms don't mean much to you, our fabric is the same kind you'd find in a luxury hotel (except with more zipper and less housekeeper).

We currently stock Australian-sized Single, Double, Queen, King and Super-King. One day we'll absolutely offer US and EU/UK sizes!

Not really. 

With the exception of our $10 welcome discount (look out for the form at the bottom of our homepage), we've never done a sale (in our 4 years of business) and don't have any plans to do so in the future. 

There are a few reasons for this: 

1) Given our cost prices, (keeping in mind that we're a small business, and we don't command the same production power as say, Target), we are offering our products at the lowest price possible in order for us to stay operational.

 Our products are made of high quality fabrics and materials and our year-round prices reflect their true value . We choose not to go with the somewhat deceptive (and quite common in the bedding industry)  "Was $̶4̶0̶0̶  Now $200" kind of pricing. Nobody is actually paying $400 (nor are the products worth $400) and we feel it's a marketing tactic that as a brand, we don't want to participate in! 

2) There is something very frustrating about paying full price for a product only to see it go on sale shortly there-after. Grrr! 

3) We order our products in small quantities. This keeps things manageable for our small team and also ensures minimal product waste. The spillover of this approach is that we do sell out quite quickly, so if you see something you like, place an order!

Your items will either be shipped in a mailer bag or a cardboard box - both are fully recyclable!

We've also chosen to wrap our products in a reusable cotton bag for protection, rather than in plastic.

Our production takes place in Vietnam and/or China, while our brainstorming/conceptualizing/thinking/designing has happened in Australia and all around the world (in showers, cars, planes, trains, on walks, while eating, while sleeping etc).

We came into this business with little knowledge of the wild and wonderful world of manufacturing, and so we've taken great care and responsibility in partnering with companies & people who not only could help us turn our dreams into reality, but who also align with our values. We're thrilled to have found Sourci, a Melbourne-based company specializing in product development and supply chains. With the help of their 'on the ground' team in China, we've been able to find a manufacturing partner that meets our standards of ethical responsibility, compliance, and quality control, and can grow with us for many years to come. As they say, teamwork makes the dream work :)

Negative! The only part of the zipper you'll see are the two "zipper pulls" at the bottom of the bed. Because those are visible, we made them look extra stylish.

This was a very difficult decision for us to make. Studies have shown that offering Afterpay as a payment option is likely to result in more sales, so it's tempting. Unfortunately, as a startup, there simply isn't enough room for us to absorb the 6% fee that Afterpay takes per order. We'd much rather absorb the cost of shipping (approx $20 - $25 per order).

The top of the duvet cover and the first 40cm on each side of the duvet cover have no zipper at all. This is the section you're most likely to touch, so you definitely won't feel a zipper (because it's not there).

They will not! 

Two things: 

1. While the duvet cover does open up on both sides, it actually doesn't open all the way to the top of each respective side. There's about 40cm on the top of each side with no zipper track at all.

2. When properly zipped, the two zipper pulls should be located at your feet (i.e bottom/middle)

No. We've totally ruined things between you and you regular ol' duvet cover.

Can I exchange my product for something else? 

If you would like to exchange an item for a different size/colour please reach out to us at info@heyduvet.com

Note that if you're exchanging for a different size/colour, then the item you're exchanging needs to be unused and in its original packaging (excluding the postage box, which can be different). Unfortunately, we don't cover return postage costs for exchanges, and will only send out the new product once all items are returned/processed.

 Faulty items

No! That's super mean and just generally not cool. 

But just to be safe, we also spent a lot of time and money getting International IP protection for our very novel design and brand. We have design registrations, design patents and trademark registrations in over 30 countries including Australia and the US.
